Much like other things in life, paper has a life cycle. Paper has a specific job for a short period of time. When we treat paper as a family member or like an antique piece of furniture, it creates, besides a big stack of clutter, a problem with the organization of our home and office. So let’s take a look at the cycle in detail.
Paper arrives.
 It comes through the mail, through our printer, through backpacks, through purses and briefcases.  Paper doesn’t just magically appear all over the floor, counter top or table
Paper stays.
        The main reason we accumulate excess paper is because a decision isn’t made at the time of its arrival. Make decisions. Decide to decide
Paper leaves.
If you think about it, there are not many examples of paper we need to keep forever. Most paper has a deadline, expiration, and date range to indicate if it needs saving.

1) Educators living in developing or peasant economies, objections are likely to be heard such as, that the use of the computer is time-consuming and expensive. Besides there is also the danger of a technology-centered classroom along the fear that computers may soon replace teachers.
Q: Being a future educator, what is your stand on this?

          For me computers are not a time-consuming wherein computers can really help students and can get more knowledge on it.
Computers can’t replace teachers wherein the teachers are the very effective way for learning because having a teacher is very essential to us.

2) It is helpful to see useful models of school learning that is ideal in achieving instructional goals through preferred application of educational technology.

             For me also to orient the learner to pervasiveness of education technology in society. And to introduce the learner to what is recognize as the third revolution in education the computer. It has truly paved the way for learner to become aware, appreciate and equipped to use education technology tools ranging from tradition to modern education. To provide education in the use of technology in construction by providing knowledge and skills on technology integration in instruction to learners. To impart learning experiences in instructional technology supported instructional planning.

             For me the Educational Technology 2 is concerned with “ Integrating Technology into Teaching and Learning ‘’ specifically this is focused on introducing , reinforcing , supplementing and extending the knowledge and skills to learners so that they can become exemplary users of educational technology involve a deeper understanding of the computer as well as hands on application of computers skills.

1.    Who argued for a highly active and individualized pedagogical methods which place the student at the center of the teaching-learning process?

John Dewey
          Effective teachers use an array of teaching strategies because there is no single, universal approach that suits all situations. Different strategies used in different combinations with different groupings of students will improve learning outcomes. Some strategies are better suited to teaching certain skills and fields of knowledge than are others. Some strategies are better suited to certain student backgrounds, learning styles and abilities.
Effective pedagogy, incorporating an array of teaching strategies that support intellectual engagement, connectedness to the wider world, supportive classroom environments, and recognition of difference, should be implemented across all key learning and subject areas. Effective pedagogical practice promotes the wellbeing of students, teachers and the school community - it improves students' and teachers' confidence and contributes to their sense of purpose for being at school; it builds community confidence in the quality of learning and teaching in the school.



2.    Describe a traditional classroom. (You may embed pictures or videos.)

        A traditional classroom is a learning room with desks in rows and a teacher in front. This room is usually overcrowded with students and one teacher. The mode of teaching in this class is generalized and does not focus on individual performance.

3.Describe an SCL classroom.
   
          The term student-centred learning (SCL) is widely used in the teaching and learning literature. Many terms have been linked with student-centred learning, such as flexible learning experiential learning self-directed learning and therefore the slightly overused term ‘student-centred learning’ can mean different things to different people. In addition, in practice it is also described by a range of terms and this has led to confusion surrounding its implementation.

1.)  Discuss the difference between peer competition and positive interdependence in a group. Simply said, aren’t there debates in group work?

·        Peer competition is a social group composed of individual wherein each student compete with one another . While positive interdependence is an element of cooperative and collaborative learning  where members of a group who share common goals perceive that working together is individually and collectively beneficial , and success depends on the participation of all the members. They must defend their individual learning or principle so they undergo debate to ones group or opponent.

2.)  What can be done in case some members of a group do not show positive interpersonal and communication skills? Can the teacher help in this situation?

·        YES, because effective teacher is caring who know their students create relationships that enhance the learning process. In a group if some of the members don’t show positive interpersonal and communication skills, the teacher should be able to have the ff: passion, humor, values and attitude, patience, enthusiasm and commitment. In that way the students must be responsible to their group. In additional, the teacher must encourage her/his students to be active.

3.)  Do skills in listening, negotiating, compromising, punctuality, tolerance (giving others a chance to speak) part of the social skills needed in a group work?

·        YES, because how can students learn if they are not cooperate the group. Cooperate or collaborative is needed in a group work to gained effective learning. In which evaluation is a cooperative process with emphasis on self-evaluation. In which students are encourage to trust in themselves as well as in external sources.  In which students feel they are accepted in the group. In additional, which encourages openness of self rather than concealment of self.

4.)  How can group members ensure that each member of the group is also accountable for the group work, and not totally dependent on others? In practical terms, how can the teacher grade individual students fairly in a group activity for one single output?

·        The group members can ensure that the students or members of the group don’t totally dependent on others by letting them to have chance to speak in the front of group members. In practical terms, the teacher grade individual by letting individual to stand in front and have the chance to speak. In additional, being a teacher I will use the silent type method of teaching. If the groups formed a circle the teacher must facilitate the students by using silent type method.

5.)  While cooperative learning is very good avenue for teachers to help students learn effectively, why is it not to be adopted in all classroom learning situations?

·        Because not all classroom learning situations are needed in cooperative learning. Example: the individual activities, projects, assignments and others. One of the richest resources for learning is the learner himself. Each individual has an accumulation of experiences, ideas, feelings, and attitudes which comprise a rich vein of material for problem solving and learning.
